Where it works
Install your bird boxes 1-2 meters above the ground, to mimic robins and wrens natural nesting habitats, which are often in low locations. Ensure to hide them in vegetation, such as a hedge, to protect the birds from predators.
Position it facing north or northeast to shield from direct sunlight, strong winds and rain.
Ensure the box has a clear flight path, free from obstacles, so birds can safely come and go.
Birds need their own little corner to feel safe when nesting, so keep some distance between The Wren and other bird boxes/feeders to avoid territorial squabbles.
