Where it works
Install your bird boxes 2-5 meters above the ground, ideally facing north or northeast to shield from direct sunlight and rain.
Ensure the box has a clear flight path, free from obstacles, so birds can safely come and go.
For predator protection, position the box securely on a tree, wall or fence post.
Birds need their own little corner to feel safe when nesting, so keep some distance between The Classic and other bird boxes/feeders to avoid territorial squabbles.
Why it matters
Great tits and tree sparrows often struggle to find safe nesting sites, as their natural habitats become more fragmented. The Classic provides a reliable shelter for these birds to thrive.
Every BrdBx is handcrafted by the talented team at RAW Oxford, a social enterprise that supports people on the path to rebuilding their lives. When you choose The Classic, you’re not just choosing to give garden birds a place to nest; you’re choosing to support brighter futures. It’s a choice that feels good for your garden, your community and the planet.
