Where it works
Mount 3-6 metres high, ideally on a building, wall or pole, making sure there is a clear flight path with no nearby obstructions.
A south or south-east facing position is ideal, giving The Roost the warmth it needs throughout the day.
Avoid placing it near bright lights, which can disrupt bats’ natural nocturnal rhythm.
